Siavoush died on August 27, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born in a province of Iran, Siavoush was a beloved son in a traditional family with four sisters.

His father was a judge whose work took the family to various provinces, and Siavoush's early years were marked by frequent moves. He attended more than ten schools, experiences that taught him to adapt and find his place wherever he landed.

By his teenage years, the family had settled in the capital, where Siavoush was surrounded by a large extended family. Strikingly handsome, mischievous, and playful, he became a beloved uncle to his adoring nieces and nephews: Violet, Faramarz, Shahram, Zohreh, Shahrokh, Reza, and Shahrad.

In his twenties, Siavoush bravely immigrated to the United States with no English and less than $100 in his pocket. After arriving at JFK, he made his way to the YMCA in Manhattan and enthusiastically continued the adventure that was his life.

A few years later, he met Carmen on a blind date. She would become his wife and lifelong companion. He brought her to Iran to meet his family, and when they returned to the United States, they brought with them his eight-year-old daughter, Kiana. Together, Siavoush and Carmen went on to have three more children-Keivan, Kia, and Kimia-and built a family and a life together through years that brought both challenges and great happiness.

A true Renaissance man, Siavoush weathered life's challenges and reinvented his professional life several times, all while remaining an active and devoted caretaker to his children.

He had a deep zest for life and a genuine appreciation for its pleasures. In his younger years, he was a pilot, a passion he eventually gave up and replaced with spontaneous family road trips. He was an artist who worked in watercolors and a photographer with his own darkroom. He built treehouses and created backyard ponds. He loved beauty, nature, good food and, as anyone who knew him could attest, had a true sweet tooth.

Siavoush had great confidence in his own ideas and an independent-perhaps stubborn-streak that sometimes led him to act first and discuss later. It was part of the resourcefulness, determination, and unmistakable individuality with which he approached his life.

He took great pleasure in watching his family grow and welcomed four grandchildren: Ryan and Keiley, the children of Keivan and Shirley, and Christopher and Cameron, the children of Kimia and Scott. As he grew older and less independent, he relished being at home, and Carmen remained devotedly by his side, caring for him through the end of his life.

Siavoush will be remembered with love by Carmen; his four children and their spouses; his four grandchildren; his youngest sister, Parvaneh; his nieces and nephews; and the many people whose lives he touched.
